Radioculars Top 5 Albums of 2014
By Cosmic AmandaI'm torn on year end lists. Part of me thinks that top 5 lists are like assholes- everyone's got one, and, really, nobody appreciates you whipping yours out in public.
On the other hand, I've made some great discoveries by checking out my friend's assho...uh, I mean, year end lists. So, here's one more for all you list lovers out there!
These are albums I simply couldn't get enough of in 2014. (in fact, I recently found myself on a cross-country flight with no entertainment besides my #1 album, and after 5 straight hours of listening to it on repeat I decided to bump it up the rankings...it really held up after all those listens!)
1. Snowmine // Dialects
Mystery Buildings
2. Mac DeMarco // Salad Days
Captured Tracks
3. Blood Sister // Blood Sister EP
Bloodmoss Records
4. Ariel Pink // Pom Pom
4AD
5. bAd bAd // bAd bAd
Oh, hey, if you made it this far, check out my favorite tracks of 2014:
- American Wrestlers // I Can Do No Wrong
- PIZZA TIME // Tu Muchacho
- Viet Cong // Continental Shelf
- Hanni El Khatib // Moonlight
- HOMESHAKE // Cash is Money
Thanks for listening! Looking forward to keeping the solid jams coming in 2015.

I founded BFF.fm in 2013 because I believe in the power of community radio to play an integral role in our local music scene, and that a great Internet station can bring the Bay Area sound to the world.
People look at me sideways when I explain that one day I just decided to start an online radio station. I knew I could figure it out, and today BFF.fm is a vibrant community of talented DJs and dedicated volunteers, working together to make our mission happen!
I’m proud of the impact BFF.fm has had on the community and the opportunities it has afforded our listeners and our DJs. In 4 years we’ve hosted hundreds of bands in studio, presented dozens of local music showcases, and booked local support for touring acts playing larger venues.
